Julie Manning, RICP®
Founder

Julie started the firm after more than 23 years in the financial services industry. She began her career in disability insurance, where she found it very satisfying to help those who were sick or hurt and unable to make ends meet. “It gave me great joy to provide service that made a difference when people needed it the most,” she said. Julie has earned her Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation, which she uses to answer client questions about topics such as income planning or what to do with their 401(k) at retirement.

 

Transitioning to full-scale financial planning enabled Julie to pursue her passion: educating clients on all things financial. “I’m an accidental tourist to financial services,” she said. “I always wanted to be a teacher. Having the opportunity to
help others understand complex and often unfamiliar concepts gives me a
lot of satisfaction.” 

 

Julie’s approach is to deliver a client experience that is never rushed or intimidating, an approach that is especially appreciated by the women she works with. She partners with Woman’s Worth®, a unique program designed to help women prepare for the unique financial challenges they face in their later years. Her work with female clients has also earned her Circle of Excellence recognition by Women in Financial Services (WIFS), a national organization that supports women in the insurance and financial services fields. 

 

Julie and her husband, Greg, have eight children and one grandson. Julie and Greg live on 17 acres in the country, where they care for their 14 chickens and spend more time outside than inside. “We love the quiet,” Julie said. “The tractor runs regularly, fresh eggs come daily, the air is clean, and the stars are fully visible.” She fills up her free time with a variety of activities, including gardening, painting, working out, and playing with her grandson. Please read the disclosure statement carefully before you invest or send money. The Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) certification is a professional designation provided by The American College of Financial Services, Bryn Mawr, PA.  To receive the designation, the individual must complete a minimum of three college-level courses which cover information such as retirement income planning, retirement portfolio management techniques and mitigation of plan risks to the proper uses of annuities, employer sponsored benefits, and determining the best Social Security claiming age.  In addition, the individual must pass an examination, have three years of financial services experience and adhere to the American College’s Code of Ethics. The American College can disallow use of the RICP® if advisors do not adhere to the program’s ethical standards, continuing education, and other requirements.
